Finding Joy II: During this lunar eclipse

Hello again, how have you been?

I decided to open this month’s blog with a couple of joyful offerings shared by friends on some normal everyday things that bring joy:

“I love the changing skies and lush green all year round, so I am easily pleased.”
“the Rhododendron blossoms in Crystal Palace park are in their purple prime. They will fade and fall but for the next few weeks they are glorious.”S Moore

Sometimes we just need to stop, look around and think! Which made me realise that I don’t always practice what I preach, do any of us?

According to my amazing mother, I came on to this earth bouncing… smiling, giggling and waving my hands to the world. A lovely memory to be reminded of especially during difficult times – and there have been a few! But how do we remember to practice the things that bring us and others joy, when all around is dark…

“Meditation, family, kindness, our children, work, flowers, bumper cars, water slides, yoga, train rides, meals with friends, our partners, rain, sunshine and chocolate!”

But what about the following as well:

  • Empowerment
  • Enabling
  • Inspiring
  • Releasing
  • Trusting
  • Believing
Dictionary meaning “to ENABLE”

Lizzie’s meaning “to ENABLE”
  • Help someone feel they can achieve anything!
What is your meaning “to ENABLE”?
  • let me know your thoughts …….

How would we feel if we heard these spoken to us regularly, if others remembered to be positive about our actions, instead of knocking us? As much as words can bring us down, they can also help us fly high when there is kindness in what is said which can bring joy back into our hearts.

“You’ve got 84,400 seconds today, why not use lots of them to smile and giggle.”

I have used much of the above over the last few weeks to help me through this tricky moon (Mercury in retrograde) which has been very powerful and the intensity I/we are feeling is very real. So it is at times like this that we need to take a deep look inside to find our joy again – giving, sharing, loving, kindness, smiling, laughing and honouring are ways we can pass this joy on to others whilst feeling it ourselves – It’s simple really!

“Late night crabbing in Bahrain for blue swimmer crabs. Fun to do, an adventure, delicious!”
“… no queue at the petrol station.” L Sales

I ask you to contact me with your thoughts, inspirations and ideas of how we can help others find their JOY as we move forward. Sharing is a wonderful gift!

So with very much love and honour to all, I share my second post.
